Summary of what I read: After a few days after the picnic they had Augustus and Hazel took a walk. Augusts asked her if she had used her wish that they give to the people who have cancer. She told him that she had already used it. He asked her what she had used it on. He told her that he hoped that she didn't waste her one wish on going to Disney Land. She smiled at him and stayed quiet. He told her dear Jesus Hazel, you used your one wish on on Disney Land. She told him in a whiny voice but at the same time laughing explaining that she was only 13 when she used her wish. She asked him if he had used his wish yet. He told her that he still didn't use it. They went off talking about other things. When Augustus took her back home. They continued to text that night. 



Last week I did predictions. I predicted that  Isaac and Hazel will become good friends. Also that  Isaac, Hazel, and Augustus will have a journey as friends. I also predicted that Augustus and Hazel are going to date at one point. I thought this because they are really good friends. Augustus acts like he really cares about Hazel. Hazel should give him a chance.  Well they still aren't dating but they are very good friends I think that they will get to that point very soon. 

This week I will do questions and wondering. 
My question is why did Augustus think that using their wish for Disney was bad. I'm wondering what will he use his wish for?

Summary of what I read: A few days after they had gone to the house to throw the eggs, Augustus stopped by Hazel's house. He knocked on the door. When Hazel went to go open she saw Augustus wearing a Lakers shirt holding flowers and holding a basket. He asked her if she was up for a picnic. She invited him inside and told him she was going to go change. Augustus sat down and was talking with Hazel's dad while Hazel got ready.  Augustus and Hazel's dad were talking about basketball. Once Hazel was done. Augustus got up and just stood. Her dad got up as well and said you take good care of her Augustus. Augustus nodded at him and then headed for the door with Hazel. Augustus asked her if it was fine if they walked to where they were going to be doing their picnic. Hazel told him that it was fine if they walked. Augustus took her to a park where couples would go. They ate their sandwich. They talked, they laughed. Once they were done eating. They got up and went to go see  a sculpture that was there. 

Last week I did questions and wondering. 

My wonders were that how does Augustus, Hazel, and Isaac deal with everything in their lives. How do they feel about them having cancer. (Augustus once had). I thought that because i thought that for me it would be hard to deal with everything. I really like that they are all very strong people. 

This week I will do predictions. 
I predict that Isaac and Hazel will become good friends. I think that Isaac, Hazel, and Augustus will have a journey as friends. I also predict that Augustus and Hazel are going to date at one point. I think this because they are really good friends. Augustus acts like he really cares about Hazel. Hazel should give him a chance.

Summary of what I read: A few weeks after Isaac had his surgery. Augustus and Hazel took Isaac to his ex's house. They had bought two packets of eggs. When they arrived, they all got out of the car and they just stood starting at the house. Augustus opened the box and gave one to Isaac. He told him to aim straight. He told Isaac that the house was right in front of him, right in front of the house was the car. Isaac threw the egg as hard as he could. It didn't quite hit the car nor the house. Augustus told him to move his arm a little bit to the right and then to rise it up a little and to throw a little bit more harder. Isaac threw it one more time and he hit the car. After he threw the second egg he felt confident and threw egg after egg. A lady came out of the house. Augustus reached over to stop Isaac's arm from throwing. Isaac asked him why he had stopped him. Augustus told the mother of Isaac's ex "I recommend you to go back  inside. This guy is just heartbroken". The lady went inside the house quickly and shut the door. Once they were done with the boxes of eggs. 


Last week I did questions and wondering. One of my questions was how does Augustus react to almost everything so calmly. He is so patient. 

I also wondered how Hazel was feeling about the situation and what was she feeling about Augustus. 


This week I will do questions and wondering again. 

For this week my I am wonder how does Augustus, Hazel, and Isaac deal with everything in their lives. How do they feel about them having cancer. (Augustus once having). I wonder this because I think that for me it would be hard. From what I read they are people who just try and never give up. If something doesn't go right, they always find a solution. I think that it is very good that even though they have cancer they are like that.

Summary of what I read: Hazel watched Augustus and Isaac play games for a while. Isaac was still crying. Augustus asked Isaac if he was okay. Isaac had gotten up and started to kick the chair in which he was sitting. Augustus told him to be careful. He had told Isaac to grab his pillow and started to scream into it while he was pushing against the wall. Augustus got up and told him "You my friend need to brake something." Augustus grabbed one of the many basketball trophies they have given him, and gave it to Isaac. hazel asked him what he was doing. Augustus told her that maybe that could give a hint to his dad that he never actually liked basketball. Isaac asked him if he was sure. Once Augustus had told him he was sure. Isaac started to smash the trophy until it became tiny pieces. He grabbed one after another until he felt calmed. 

Last week I did predictions were that at one point Hazel will get sick and Augustus is already feeling something for her. I think this will happen because it seems like Augustus is already starting to like Hazel. I think that Hazel will get sick because I think something eventually happens to one of the main characters and I'm guessing it happens to Hazel. There one more I want to to this week it is that Augustus and Hazel help Isaac move on and to feel better. 

Well Augustus and Hazel did try to make him feel better in a way. The rest I still have to read more.  

This week I will be doing questions and wondering. 

My main question is how in the world does Augustus react to almost everything to calmly. I would love to just like know because so far what I have read he really has patience and understanding. 

I'm wondering how does Hazel actually feel about this situation? How is she feeling about Augusts? .

Summary of what I read: The next day she called Augustus. She asked him she should come over. He told him that it would be great if she came over. When she got there she knocked on the door. Augustus came to open the door. He greeted her and told her to follow him downstairs. As she was going downstairs she got again a little tired. When she got there she sat on the bed. She saw Isaac playing a video game. He was crying. She asked if he was doing fine. He told her that he was fine. Then Augustus explained to her why Isaac was crying. It was because his girlfriend broke up with him because she said that she wouldn't be able to handle their relationship when he goes blind.

My predictions from last week was that at one point Hazel will get sick and Augustus is already feeling something for her. I think this will happen because it seems like Augustus is already starting to like Hazel. I think that Hazel will get sick because I think something eventually happens to one of the main characters and I'm guessing it happens to Hazel. They weren't quite right yet.

Summary of what I read: She went home after a while of hanging out with Augustus. They had exchanged numbers. When she got home she immediately started reading the book Augustus had given her. She stopped for a while.  She was waiting for Augustus to text her. Days have passed by since she last spoke to Augustus. He finally called Hazel. He asked her how in the world did the book he gave her end just like that. Without a real ending that basically has a real ending. She laughed and told him that she felt the same way. After they were done talking they text ed for a few days. The day after she went with her friend to the mall. She wanted to get the second book that followed Price of Dawn. She was telling her friend that she had met somebody but that tit was nothing serious. 

My predictions from last week was that Augustus and Hazel become good friends. That prediction is right. My other predictions was that they would finish each others book. They both did. Both of my predictions were both right from what I read. 

This weeks predictions are that at one point Hazel will get sick and Augustus is already feeling something for her. I think this will happen because it seems like Augustus is already starting to like Hazel. Summary of what I read: They are still outside of the church where they go for support group. Her mom had arrived, She looked out the window and asked her if she was ready. Hazel told her that she was going to see a movie with Augustus. Her mom left. She got in Augustus's car. She was explaining how horrible he drove. He told her that he had gotten his license because he had cancer. They laughed at how because they had cancer people would feel bad. They called it Cancer perks. When they arrived at his house. He introduced her to his parents. They greeted her kindly. After they were done talking for a bit. He told her to follow her to his room to watch the movie. When they got to his room, she saw that he had a lot of basketball trophies. He told her that  he use to play basketball. He told her even though he played he didn't really like it, only that his parents thought he did. They were going to watch the movie Vendetta. Once the movie was done he asked her what types of books she liked to read. She told him that she basically liked to read everything. She told him that her favorite book was An Imperial Affliction. He said he would read it only if she read his favorite book which was price of dawn. 

My predictions from last week were only half answered. i am still not sure if she continues to go to the Support group. Although I do know that she does go see the movie with him that day.  

This week I predict that they become really good friends, and that they both finish the book. I think this will happen because from what I read they have a good friendship to start off. He seems like the flirty type but I think that is going to make the story interesting. For starters if they became good friends they could even start dating. Also I think they will become good friends because she already accepted to go see a movie with him when he just met him,  I can't imaging once they start hanging out for real.

This week I will be doing a a asking questions and wondering type of weekly reading. The book I will be talking about is The Fault in Our Stars. 

The book starts off talking about a girl who is currently seventeen years old. She is talking about how her mom thinks that she is depressed. She keeps telling her mom that she is not depressed. Her name was Hazel Grace, she had cancer. She didn't do much. She didn't like to go out much, she would just like to stay home with her parents to just watch TV or read. Her doctor recommended her going to a support group. Her mom thought that if Hazel joined a support group would be a great idea. Hazel had no other option. It was the first day of support group, she was nervous but she went. The support group met in a basement of a church. The guy who was in charge  was named Patrick. He had cancer before. Now he was all better. He talked to everybody who was there how they can have hope and to never give up. Once the meeting was done she walked out, her mom was waiting for her outside. Her mom was so excited to see her, Hazel just wanted to get home. The next day her parents asked her if she wanted to continue to go to support group, she said that she didn't really mind because she didn't have anything else to do. 

Here are where my questions and wondering start. 

I have a question for Hazel: What does she really feel? Does she feel sad depressed?I'm wondering if she ever does go back to the support group.

Summary of what I read: After the meeting at support group as she waits for her mom, Augustus came out and started to talk to her. He asked her what her name was she responded Hazel, he then said he wanted her full name she told him her name was Hazel Grace.  Isaac came up to them to talk to them. He was telling her how he had eye cancer. Isaac left to meet his girlfriend who had just arrived. Augustus smiled at Hazel, she asked him why he was smiling at her  he told her that she was beautiful. He told her that he went to memorial hospital. She attended Children's. He told her that she should watch a movie with him. She told him that she hardly new him, she didn't know if he could be a ax murderer. He told her that it could be very true but that it wasn't. They overheard Isaac and his girlfriend say always to each other. She asked him why they would say that he explained that it was their always was representing them always loving each other. 

My Predictions from last week were that she would keep coming and that they would become friends. I know that they became friends i still don't know if she keeps going. 

My prediction will go on that she will continue going to support group. I predict that she does go see the movie with him that same day.

This week I will be doing Predictions. As I continued reading last weeks questions and wondering were answered. 

The next time she went to support group she accidentally bumped into a very handsome guy. He said sorry and kept on walking but he kept looking at her he smiled and she smiled back at her.  When she got to the basement there was people already around the circle.  She noticed that the guy who had bumped into her was there. She caught him starring at her. She starred back. After a while of starring he smiled and gave a little laugh, she smiled back and then looked away. Patrick sat down and took out his guitar. He liked to sing/play song for them. He thought that would brighten up their spirits. Once he was done, he went around asking everybody how they were. When he got to the guy, he stood up and said that his name was Augustus Waters he was seventeen he had Osteosarcoma which is a cancerous bone tumor that usually develops in teenagers. He said he had a year and a half ago. He said he was feeling better than ever. Then Patrick asked him if he had any fears. He answered that his one fear was oblivion. After he said that she raised her and they all turned to look at her Patrick said "Hazel!"  and she said that there will come a time when everybody will die, she said that everybody would forget anything ever did. She said that she encouraged him to ignore oblivion. 

Here I predict that because of that subject she will keep coming to support group and that they will become friends.

For this weeks Weekly Reading, I will be doing a KWL chart again. This week I finished the book already. I will be putting, What I know, What I want to know, and well What I've learned.

I know that he is at a boarding school . He had never made friends before. He is enjoying his new friends and enjoying the boarding school.  He is starting to smoke. He is starting to drink alcohol.  I know they made him a prank. I know Pudge and his friends decided to investigate and return the prank back to them.  Since he has friends in the new school, he is starting to realize how they are and how they act.  He realizes that he is starting to like Alaska. He wants to be more than just a friend to her but, he knows she has a boyfriend. I know that it is hard for him to move on. I know that Pudge and Colonel try their best to find out how she died. I know that he feels that his one and true friend forever will be the Colonel.  I know that he has a thing where he likes to memorize peoples last words. He want's to know Alaska's last words but he will never know them because she died.	If he falls in love with Alaska. Does he ever do something that his parents told him to.  I want to know what happens, through out the rest of their school year.  Does he ever just move on.  I want to know what happens after the book ends like what does he do with his life does he stay another year for his senior year or does he go home.  Does he ever stop feeling guilty.  I want to know what were Alaska's last words.	I've learned that there is people who are scared to make friends and to make wrong decisions but they make friends and they make the bad decisions.  I've learned that it's not easy for everyone to make friends, they might be different than everyone else.

What I am going to blog about this is about questions and wondering. In the book he becomes friends with his roommate, his roommate goes by the name Colonel and he decides to call Miles Pudge. Colonel introduces Pudge to his friends Takumi and Alaska. When he met Alaska he thought she was beautiful. Here is where i'm wondering if they ever fall in love. As I kept reading there was  a part where it said that Colonel told him to go with him wherever he was going to go so all Pudge did was follow since he was like the only friend he had and the fact that he didn't really have anywhere else to go. They went to Alaska's room once they were inside Colonel told Alaska if she had a pack of cigarettes, she replied by saying if he had five bucks he looked and Pudge and then Pudge  brought out five bucks out of his wallet and handed them over to Colonel. Once they had the pack of cigarettes they went to their room and Colonel told him he was going to show him a way he could smoke without the Eagle finding out, (Eagle is like the principal.) He went in the bathroom and turned on the shower with the water to be as hot as it could be that way it would be humid in the bathroom, he then lit a cigarette. He took a hit and then passed it to Pudge, all Pudge did was hold on to it, but then took a hit.What I am wondering here is if he felt peer pressure when Colonel handed the cigarette to him.

Asking Questions and Wondering 

The book I am reading is Looking for Alaska by John Green. The book starts of talking about this guy named Miles Halter who was starting his first year at Culver Creek Preparatory, he was going to start Junior Year . His parents were throwing him a go away party because he lived in Florida and he was going away to Alabama for high school. He had told him parents that nobody was going to show up because he had no friends in high school. The only two people who showed up was this short blonde with her boyfriend Will. Once they had left his parents sat down with him to talk with him. They asked him if was because he had no friends the reason he wanted to leave to another state. He thought about it before he answered and then responded saying that that was not the reason.

-My question here is, why did he want to leave to a different state?

The next day they headed out early in the morning in their SUV to Florida. When they got their it was extremely hot. It didn't take them long to unload his stuff between them three. He was surprised when he first saw his room, he imagined it with carpet, furniture and a private bathroom. It was the opposite of what he thought it would be. The worst part of it all was that there was no air-conditioning. Once they were done putting all the things in the room they said their goodbye's and then he was all alone in the room. The only thing he wanted to do was cool off, so he decided before he took a cold nice shower he would unpack everything he bought. Once he was done with his shower he wrapped a towel around his waist and when he opened the door all he saw was a short muscular guy with brown hair. He was nervous the fact that he was meeting his roommate naked. The guy walked over and said " I'm Chip Martin". He responded saying " I'm Miles Halter, nice to meet you". He grabbed his clothing and headed back to the bathroom. When he came out he asked Chip where his parents where. He said his was dad was in California and his mom was probably driving off campus. 

- I'm wondering if he felt relived he had someone to talk if he is hoping to make friend with chip?

- Another question I have is what was did he think about Chip?
